Feverish Hallucinations

For those of you who haven't heard, I've been really sick this week. Last night my temperature reached an astounding 104 degrees. I was hot and cold, I couldn't see straight, I couldn't breathe right...

In other words, I was a stubborn fidget who didn't call 911...

Anyway, Nate stopped down to visit for quite some time. Once he left I was off to bed. It was about an hour or so later that I woke up and started hallucinating things. At first, it was nothing major. I woke up and started seeing shadows scurrying franticly around my room. This is normal for me when I wake up to quick. Afterwards, however, I felt like I had a hair or a piece of dust in my nose. When I reached up to get it I discovered I had not two, but four nostrils. Apparently that wasn't enough to disturb me, but just when I thought I was only slightly losing it I noticed that I had a visitor; a man by the name of Danny Elfman...

yes.... the one and only Danny Elfman...

By this point, I couldn't tell if I was sleeping or awake, but I remember him walking around my room and finding the Forbidden Zone DVD. He went on and on about how he was so excited that I liked that movie and asked me how I found out about it. Eventually he just kind of vanished into nothingness when I didn't respond, leaving me feeling less than sane.

By this point I discovered my bladder was absolutely full. I stumbled to the bathroom and while I was doing my business I looked over at my mother's Redbook magazines and there was a picture of some smiling woman on the front cover. Her smile was scary enough as it was, but it started moving up and down like some sort of deranged and possessed nutcracker demon. I walked over to the sink to wash up and when I did I could have sworn my skin was melting off of my hands. By now, I knew that the night was going to be long.

When I came back into my room I flopped back down on my bed. It was about an hour later that I heard noises. I looked up and I had yet another visiter. Who else but Mr. Frank Zappa himself. I have a huge portrait of him on my wall that I painted (as seen here in horrible quality) and at that point it was very much real and very much alive. We conversed for a good five minutes, but all I remember from the conversation was Frank asking "what the f*ck was up with Elfman".

My head was spinning, my body was weak, and I was dehydrated. I grabbed the bottled water next to my bed and tried drinking out of it for a few minutes before realizing that the cap was still on. I finally had some water, took some aspirin, and attempted to go back to sleep. The rest of the night was spent tossing, turning, and constantly waking up crying for no reason.

I can honestly say that it was very entertaining recollecting the hallucinations the next morning , but I hope that I never have to relive that night ever again...

Wow... That... Wow... Part of me wants to be all concerned and stuff, but part of me also wants to go on and on about how awesome that was. Both parts however want you to get better so something worse doesn't happen.

Hallucinations aside, that's seriously messed up! You could have died! High fevers are nothing to joke about. You were frying your brain! *sigh*

I hope you have recovered fully!

Thanks D :3 I'm actually doing MUCH better today. I've been walking around and even eating, and now my temp. is down to about 99.3

And I must say to anyone reading this, as amusing as hallucinations can be, if you have a fever and a temperature above average (ESPECIALLY if its around what mine was) call 911!!! Don't be a tart like I was because I wouldn't even wish that upon on a sworn enemy!

Get some fluids and some rest, dragon. Sounds like your temp was WAY too high. Next time Elfman or Zappa visits (and not in a wet dream), go to the hospital.
